Gas Samples

DPP uses direct push technology to offer a fast, efficient means of soil gas sampling. This is achieved by inserting pre-packed tubular implants down the bore of a probe rod when it has reached the appropriate depth. The implants consist of a stainless steel wire mesh screen with a threaded fitting on the bottom for anchoring and a fitting at the top to connect to tubing.

Once the implant is slid down the bore, it is rotated to attach it to the anchor post used during driving. As the probe rods are removed from the hole, the implant and associated tubing remains firmly anchored at the bottom enabling it to provide long-term monitoring of soil gas contaminants at a relatively inexpensive cost.

Implant advantages

  • Fast, cost-effective way to monitor soil gas
  • Implant can be set at any depth attained by probe
  • DPP can meet stringent decontamination standards for equipment to prevent cross contamination and erroneous results
